Wedges
There are golf wedges with lofts between 44 and 65 degrees. Golf wedges with more loft provides higher and shorter trajectory. The optimum is to have a series of golf wedges which differs only 10 to 15 meters in between, which normally are golf wedges with loft 4-8 degrees in between. Your pitching wedge (PW) has a loft between 43 and 49 degrees, adjust your other wedges after it. Bounce is the angle between the front and rear edges of the sole and prevents the wedge from digging into the ground.
A sand wedge has a lot of bounce, from 10 to 16 degrees. This allows the sand wedge to slide easily through the sand. Wedges with plenty of bounce makes thus the game easier when the ground is soft. However, if the ground is hard it's easier to play with wedges that have little bounce as they do not bounce as much on the surface, this also reduce the risk to top the ball.
